New Product

Compact, linear amplifiers for VHF pulsed radar

Recntly launched, new range of pulsed amplifiers using the very latest power transistor technology. These new amps offer the high power density of our class E systems but with increased bandwidth and the flexibility of a linear amplifier. Removes the need for internal pulse generation and complex control systems. Flexible, easy to use, plug and go amplifiers. Ideally suited for VHF radar.

Base system offers 8kW. Higher power systems readily available by combining multiple 8kW systems using Tomco hybrid combiner. Customised versions available.

New VT8C Amplifier

In mid 2009 Tomco supplied the first 400MHz, 25kW pulsed amplifier to Oak Ridge National Lab. This amplifier forms part of the ion source section of the SNS. It is the first of 4 amplifiers with the remaining 3 due for delivery in April 2010.
